typee

Usage Guide

typee turns content you love into language practice. Paste song lyrics, drop subtitle files, or import an Anki deck — then practice with typing, Fill-in-the-blank, or Word Rain modes.

1. Create from Any Content

Paste song lyrics or subtitles into the Media tab, or drop an .srt file. You can also import an Anki .apkg file or create cards manually. AI extracts vocabulary and cloze cards automatically.

2. Choose a Practice Mode

Select your deck and choose how you want to practice. You can type meanings, type words, or use smart review to focus on cards you struggle with.

3. Type Your Answers

See the prompt and type the answer. You get instant character-by-character feedback. Press Enter to submit, or skip cards you don't know yet.

4. Track Your Progress

After each session, see your accuracy, speed (WPM), and correct count. Over time, track mastery levels for each card and view your overall stats.

Tips for Better Practice

💡Practice daily — even 5 minutes a day builds strong recall over time.
💡Use "Difficult First" mode to focus on your weakest cards.
💡Try both "Type Meaning" and "Type Word" modes for deeper learning.
💡Check your stats page regularly to see which cards need more attention.

Supported Inputs

typee accepts .srt subtitle files, .txt lyrics, and Anki .apkg decks. You can also paste text directly or create cards manually. CSV/TSV uploads with auto-detected field mapping are also supported.
